so, yeah, it looks like I lost a week or so on here...

Sorry 'bout that. Life happens, and occasionally, mine seems to get stuck in rapid fire mode. Not that I don't love my blog, my crafty friends, or anyone else who happens to stumble through here... but this week was FULL.

So I'm going to try and fix that. I just do not have the energy to do my tutorial (since I have to redo the video!!) I got the vid done, was all happy with it, and then got a new camera. I *thought* that I had uploaded said video to my pc so that I could post it. Insert memory card into new camera, humm no video. Ok, I guess it just isn't compatible, it happens. Take a few pics, go to upload them, still no video. Check my folders on the pc, nope no vid. WTH? I guess my new camera ate it. I was unaware that I should have feed the damn thing first >.<

In the mean time, here are some really pretty (well, *I* think they are really pretty!) mists that I made for my sister and niece last week. I guess I could a tutorial on them too, but I'm sure its been done over and over.

Ok, for those who were looking forward to the tutorial, feel free to message me if you want instructions. I can type those up quick style and shoot you an email.

Haylo was up late with an ear ache, and after hoping that the ibuprofen would allow us a bit of sleep this morning I woke to the phone singing "I kinda always knew I'd end up your ex~girlfriend", when her father called... I'm not quite friendly as I shout "WHAT!" into the phone. Yeah, I'm good at early morning interaction. I bet you wanna call me now, just to hear my chipper southern drawl for yourself.

I'll spare everyone the details of the phone call, and if your really interested, hit me up on FB. For the time being, would ya'll mind keeping Haylo, her Mamaw and her family in your thoughts? It'd be much appreciated.

what a DAY!

no crafty time for me today... *sniff sniff*

I had a terrible toothache last night, and I figured I would just get crafty with my Haylo after school. No such luck, seeing how another child cut her hair during class today! She was very upset as I'm sure you can tell, and I spent most of the day trying to help her calm down and figure out how to fix it.

I know a lot of moms would just cut her hair to match since it isn't scalp level, but its taken her 6 years to get that much hair! She's never had a cut, and was devastated by this, especially knowing that it wouldn't grow back quickly.

I'll be calling the school again tomorrow since there was no answer this afternoon when I tried. Seeing how I already know the other child's mother, I don't think this will end well...

Maybe I'll get a crafty post up tomorrow! If not, well, lets just hope its from over sleeping and not another bad hair day!

Not the tutorial I wanted to post...

and I'm ok with that. Really. I've had a rough night, and I decided that being in pain and trying to take and then upload a video was a bit more that I wanted to fool with. At the same time I wasn't going to back out of my blog again so I found pics of things that I made and figured that I would post them and them post the tutorial later. sound good?

Eh, not like it matters, its what I'm doing anyway!

Sooo pics of what you ask? Well, lets see I could post pics of jewelry I've made, or layouts, or even boxes...but since so many of my friends are interested in the plastic pages lets go with those.

and there you have it. I'll try to get more pics up tomorrow, for now I'm going to eat a brownie while they are still warm, and snuggle with my lil guy until I can convince him that bed time is a good thing.

gone, but NOT forgotten!

yea, I know I'm bad for deleting my posts, sorry 'bout that. On the plus side, I have lots of new things to share, and I'm going to try and get some posted tomorrow YAY! I have a few layouts, cards, two completed mini albums, one mini in progress, and loads of techniques. Nothing that hasn't been done b4, but at least now I will have reminders all in one place ^_^

I suppose I should do a post on my plastic pages as well since I get asked about them quite frequently. Hummm maybe a video too... we'll see if I can get my camera to play nice for that since I am NOT fond of showing more than my hands.

I am starting over fresh with a new blog, I doubt I post daily, since I honestly doubt anyone stops by to see what I'm doing...but I would like to have something to look back on, if for no other reason than to highlight things that are going on in my life and the lives of those around me that I love.
Lets start with a few not so recent things in case I get a visitor...
I am married, have two kids, 3 cats, and way too many hobbies. I'm a geek gurl... on most days and on others I'm just a regular, stressed out and highly caffeinated mother. I adore my children, even if I do threaten to sale them to the circus when they behave like moneys. I love making things, especially for my loved ones, and I'm trying to start a new scrapbook, two actually, one for myself and one for my daughter.
We have had an exciting couple of weeks at our house! My DD lost her first tooth on Sunday May 30th, and her second tooth Monday June 7th. She is super excited about it and I can't wait to she her excitement as her new ones grow in. My lil guy is a bit jealous and wants to be like his big sister, who can blame him? big kids have all the fun!
Our cats drive me crazy, but are loving a beautiful the majority of the time so I am torn between adoring them and tossing them out the front door (don't tell hubby or he just might do it)! Boo (male) is a solid black cat we adopted as a kitten a bit over a year ago. We took in two females (Wycked and Violent) who were found locked up in an old abandoned house. They weren't too fond of people, hence the names, but are doing so much better! Wycked is a gorgeous mix of browns and is my baby though she is messy and always looks mad. Violent is my DD's and though she tends to play to rough, she is adored by her 'momma' and that keeps me from getting to mad over those lil incidents.
I have an addiction to scrap-booking supplies as well as jewelry making supplies and need a craft room! I really could spend all day in a good craft store and never get bored... to bad I won't get paid for shopping! I love making new things and will work on posting pics of items that I have made in the near future. Right now I'm going to head over to crop chocolate and visit with some of the nicest ladies I have met in a long time!
